With darkness gathering around my shoulders and street lights dimming as I jog past, the rain begins to fall, and drops prance across my face, gracing me with a refreshing reprise. Shadows creep across the pavement reaching at my throat as I stop at a set of street lights attempting to cross. The light throws red across the pavement, turning it into a sea of swirling shadows and blood, as I drop my foot to the street I hear a loud noise coming from the right. I jump back in surprise, "That was a red light you asshole!" I yell but only catch their echoes.
Fearing another car full of jackass teenagers I look down the street to see if its safe to cross, and casually walk across the street and to my residence(for now). As soon as I step into my apartment Henry begins to rub against my thigh demanding attention so I pet his head and push past the giant to get to my cooler I keep under my couch. See I can't really abide technology because its not really friendly with me, so I have the Cooler, its a little blue box with white stripes running horizontal across it, and a built in lock set in the front. It holds my drink and food, and sometimes something I have a need to hide form the public, but that doesn't happen very often.
I set my coke down on the coffee table and begin to relax and read a bit, when a loud buzzing noise issuing from my door rudely jerks me out of my lethargy. "Shit!" I mutter under my breath as I rise from the chair and walk to the door. I hold a button to let who ever the hell it was through. "I was wondering when you would get home." said the strangely familiar female voice. "Ah, Lasciel, to what do I owe for this pleasant surprise" I say to her as I lean against the doorframe. Lasciel was a lovely woman, with amber eyes that could pierce a mans soul and striking blonde hair coupled with the fairest alabaster skin. She was wearing a slinky black dress with a white stripe running down the right side accentuating her very alluring curves.
"Well now that we have rudely exchanged greetings," she says with a husky voice "The Court is requesting your appearance,"
"No, I'm fine!" I interrupt rudely.
"Let me fin"
"Um, let me think about it - nope! Like I said, I'm fine."
"Damn it, Keith," she yells. "why do you get like this every time I mention the Court? "
I stare at her for many seconds, not a blank stare, but one filled with deep thought and memories, both good and bad. Oh so slowly my eyes drift downward to finally rest on her chest. And I notice how her breasts seem to gently lie on top of her crossed arms as she stares at me with that pouting look splayed across her face.
